A typical twin screw inland tugboat. The vessel underwent a comprehensive capital
refurbishment in 2005/2006. This included refurbishment and/or replacement of all machinery,
gears, generators, vessel equipment, gauges, control equipment, electronics, partial hull
renewals, interior joiner work, piping systems and other electrical components. The vessel was
reportedly blasted to white metal on all internal and external surfaces. All electrical wiring and
non-metallic flexible fuel and hydraulic lines were also replaced to meet USCG standards.
The subject vessel has a model bow with single push knee, a square stern and a flush main deck.
The hull is of hard chine construction with a deep vee bow.
A raised fiberglass reinforced plastic grating hawser rack is fitted across the fantail over the
rudder hydraulic steering rams.
In 2009 the vessel’s hull was completely sand blasted to white metal and recoated with epoxy
paint on the sides and the bottom plating with epoxy and anti-fouling paint. New zinc anodes
were installed 2010.
Vessel found to be in fair to good condition throughout.
